3 Easy Tips for Creating a Memorable Easter Basket

Creating a beautiful Easter basket for the kids is one of my favorite parts of the Spring season’s celebrations, followed closely by church service and an afternoon filled with Easter egg hunts. Today, I’m helping you create a memorable Easter Basket for the kids that will be just as much fun for you to put together! Check out our recommendations below and tell us your formula for a perfect Easter basket in the comments.

Tip 1: CHOOSE YOUR BASKET TYPE

The first step of Easter basket curation — the basket! I will never tire of a classic wicker basket. I also love the extra whimsy a themed bag like a canvas or a themed bucket offers that you will use long after all the eggs are found and the sweet treats enjoyed.

Tip 2:  SELECT A BASKET LINER THEY’LL LOVE

I really like the customized options from Pottery Barn. They are super fun with a modern twist that we’ve grown to love over the years. If you are sticking with the timeless look of an Easter basket, customize it with basket liners to make each bundle reflective of the child receiving it.

Tip 3: FILL WITH SPRING GOODIES

Now here’s where I usually have to refrain from going all out! I place some of Lilly’s candies and sweets in large eggs like this one from Walmart.

For the gifts, I place larger items like our Ballerina Girl plates, cups, and napkins lose in the basket. You can do the same idea for the boys with our Pirate themes items (plate, cups, napkins). Smaller-sized presents like are wrapped in our Ballerina Girl wrapping paper before being added to the basket of goodies. I also like to include a book or two about Easter to ensure we do not forget the true meaning of the holiday. Don’t forget to layer the bottom of the basket with Easter grass or colorful crinkle paper.
